Resources & Printable Templates
Welcome to TrayEdit resources & printable templates. Download the same tools I use to plan and build tiered tray stands: circle templates, drilling guides, spacing charts, and worksheets. Print at 100%, tape the sheets, and trace. If a file you need is marked “Coming Soon,” tell me and I’ll prioritize it.
- In your PDF viewer, set
Scale = 100%andNo “Fit to page”. - Each file includes a 1 in / 25 mm check square. Measure it after printing.
- For larger diameters, print multiple pages and align registration marks before taping.
Personal use only. Don’t resell or repost. You can print for your shop, family, or students. For commercial licensing or to include in a kit, contact me.
Circle Templates (Inch & Metric)
Trace perfect tiers without a router jig. Each PDF contains multiple diameters and a checker square.
Drilling Guides (Center Post & Feet)
Print, tape, and pierce the crosshair. These guides help keep holes centered and perpendicular. For accuracy tips, see the Step‑by‑Step Guide.
Sizing & Spacing Charts
Tier Diameters & Clearance
| Stand | Top | Middle | Bottom | Clearance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2‑Tier | 10–12 in (25–30 cm) | — | 14–16 in (36–41 cm) | 6–8 in (15–20 cm) |

Choose sizes based on your cabinet clearance and intended items (mugs vs cupcakes).
Base Width & Stability
| Bottom tier | Minimum base width | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| 14 in (36 cm) | ≥ 8.5 in (22 cm) | Use larger feet for slick counters |
| 16 in (41 cm) | ≥ 9.5 in (24 cm) | Keep heavy items on lower tier |
Aim for a base width ≈ 60–65% of the bottom tier for everyday stability.
